Library
Henderson Settlement has the only lending library in a radius of about twenty miles. This library, located in the Community Center, holds over
14,000 books for children, teens, and adults, as well as movies and magazine subscriptions. Supplied solely by donations, the library is able to
supplement the educational programs of the Settlement, in addition to providing reading material for the community. Donations of recent books, VCR
tapes and DVD's are always useful. Items may be brought or shipped to the Library at the Settlement address. To avoid duplication of magazine subscriptions,
please contact the librarian before donating, 606-337-3613 ext. 308.
College Scholarships
Continuing their education after high school is valuable for the seniors in our community. For more than twenty years we have been providing
scholarships to youth and adults interested in furthering their education. In the spring, youth and adults applying are awarded scholarships.
The scholarships continue to help so many individuals who are pursuing a higher education. We will continue to work with the young people of our
community, providing encouragement and a vision for a brighter future.
